Halloween in November

I have never really liked Halloween, maybe as a kid, but I feel like every year I get older the more overrated that "holiday" gets.
Last Halloween I decided to grow up and no longer dress in slutty costumes, I mean I was engaged and I was going to be a step-mom,  I couldn't dress like that anymore.
Last year John & I dressed up as Thing #1 & Thing #2
This year on Halloween I was working, and we were one of the many companies handing out candy to the kids at a local community event, until about 6pm.
Nothing was really going on that night, John had worked a lot that week and we were in bed by 9:30pm. I remember going to bed that night thinking, should we go somewhere? Should we get up and get dressed up and do something? Then I fell asleep....
I grew up and was too old for slutty costumes but was I really too old for Halloween and dressing up?
I mean, we are newlyweds, we should be experiencing these holidays together right?
The next day I woke up and decided it's "Halloweekend" and we're going to get dressed up and do something. I text one of my friends, her and her husband didn't do anything the night before so they were down to get dressed up. I ran to the store and bought some cat ears for her, I had a backpack full of old costumes I threw one on with some leggings, and John was able to find a rockers wig...  we headed over to their house for some beer pong, and card games, we even headed out to the bar for an hour ha ha, we each won $10 for "best costume" aka...the only people who wore costumes.
It was a fun night and I'm glad we did it.
I was a bar maid, kinda
My hubby was a rocker, my friend was a cat, and her husband was...well...her husband ;)
It was a fun night, maybe next year we won't procrastinate so bad and maybe we'll have a house party of our own..who really knows, but this year, Halloween was in November for these newlyweds.

Is it just me....or does my husband look like a white version of Lil Wayne?
Whew...either way, he is HOT!

Hope you all had a great Halloween!
