Valentines Wish List

A lot of you have asked, so even though it doesn't go with this blog post
yes, I am doing well and the recovery has surprisingly been quite easy.
I have binge watched a lot of Netflix shows, but my favorite is still Parenthood.
I am more mobile now, I just have a hard time sitting for long periods of time.
Should be going back to work part time next week & everything is going good.
Thank you all for the messages, the flowers, those who brought us dinner, and all of your thoughts & prayers. They are greatly appreciated :)

Now moving on! Valentines Day is this weekend and here are just a few things I'm wishing for.

1- Alex & Ani Path of Life ring. I love the meaning behind the symbol of this, it stands for strength, motivation and knowledge. It represents an infinite number of possibilities & expression of love. Illustrates life's twists & turns & unexpected moments.  John has given me many Alex & Ani bracelets over the two years we've been together, and each one have a very important symbol and I absolutely love them. They're a great gift for anyone, and you can even search by symbol or by the occasion.

2- Alex & Ani Denver Broncos bracelet, because duh we love the Broncos!

3- Mason Jar wood plaque,  with chalkboard labels. We need this for our new remodeled bathroom. Perfect for our tooth-brushes and toothpaste.

4- Ferrero Rocher- because chocolate is a big part of Valentines Day, and this is my favorite kind.

5- This shirt, because it really just explains my life lately and it's hilarious.

John probably already has something up his sleeve, but I thought i'd throw this together just in case. He's always good with the flowers, gifts, the chocolates and the card. I also love how he not only picks a good card, but he writes something thoughtful and personal inside of it.

Last year we made a candlelit dinner together, he grilled the steaks & I made the potatoes and asparagus and it was absolutely delicious. We exchanged gifts and snuggled on the couch. I wouldn't mind doing the same thing this year...but I did purchase a dress, and a dressy shirt to wear depending on the occasion.
Now if only he could make me a wish list because I have no idea what to get him....he's got a sweet tooth so that part is easy & of course a card! As for the rest, I have no idea!

What are some ideas for Valentine gifts for a guy?
Besides the obvious.....

  1. Give him a baby. Juuuust kidding. Luckily J and I both hate this holiday so all I ever do is find the corniest card I can and write a cheesy letter inside.

Your t shirt up there reminds me of one I want that says, "I'm not a player I just blog a lot."

  2. Does he like whiskey? I was thinking of buying my husband this: https://huckberry.com/store/teroforma/category/p/16239-whiskey-stones

  3. Shut up! There's a shirt that says that? HAHA I love it!!! Yeah i'd love to give him a baby, turns out it takes 9 months...it might take us longer ha. I have always thought this holiday was overrated and the only good Valentines Day i've had is with John, so I'm not looking for any extravagant plans but it's fun to get dressed up and go out ya know? I saw this idea for a card today that said "Violets are blue roses are thorny, I think of you & I get kinda...... (open the card) corny." HAHA. Loved it. You should do that!

  4. I got my husband a nice leather weekend traveling bag, to both upgrade him from duffel bags he used in college and to hopefully inspire him to plan more weekend adventures!

  5. Angela that's a great idea! We have way too many travel bags as it is, haha. I have to keep finding room in the closet to stuff them all. I don't know where they came from but we have been hoarding them.

  6. He does like whiskey, but he's not a big drinker. Those are so cool though! Great idea!
