As you all know I've been relaxing lazy, and binge watching Netflix during my recovery.
A lot of you might not have time to even start a series on Netflix, but for those of you who do, here's a handful of TV shows & movies I'd recommend.
The reason Parenthood is on top is because it really is my number one choice.
If you haven't watched it, you really should. It has the perfect amount of drama to pull you into the next episode, and each episode is a tear-jerker; some sad tears and a lot of happy tears.
After watching the Season Finale I felt like it was the end of an era, and I really almost wanted to start over and re-watch all 6 seasons. Don't judge me.
Friends. Did you know there are people out there that have never SEEN Friends!? It's crazy! I'm like, "were you born under a rock?" How can you have not seen this show! I even know people who have no interest in watching it, BLOWS MY MIND. There are 10 seasons, so it's quite a doozy, but it's worth every hour of your day. I keep wishing they'll surprise us with season 11, or maybe a movie. Everyone who has watched Friends has once in their life pictured living in New York in an apartment by a coffee house with 4 of their best friends. It's not reality, lets be honest, but it will make you laugh, cry, and never want to move from your couch.
The League is completely opposite and has nothing in common with any of these other TV shows. However, my Husband & I like to watch a couple episodes to wind down from our day. It's pretty vulgar, and crude but it makes us laugh. If you have kids I'd recommend not watching it around them, but who am I to tell you how to parent. It's a great one to watch after a bad day or when you need a good laugh.
After Parenthood I went looking for anything that was similar to that show, I tried getting into Gilmore Girls, Switched at Birth, and The Fosters but I never found anything as good (duh). Parenthood pretty much tops the cake and I'm really sad that they ended it, however, I did get kind of become interested in Hart of Dixie. I've always liked Rachel Bilson since The O.C. and I was excited to see her in this. It's a good one to watch if you don't have time to get through all of the seasons. The only reason I say that is because I got pretty sucked in for the first two seasons, and then I got bored. Mostly because I really wanted her to end up with this one guy, and the timing was never right and it was just giving me anxiety. Do you ever watch a TV show and in your head you're planning on something happening, and it doesn't? Yeah...that's what happened. So, this one I stopped watching & I haven't finished...but it's still a good one to sit through 2 seasons.
Let's talk movies. Netflix always has these new movies that no one has ever even heard of, never made it to the theater and they just randomly show up. Right? Well, maybe if you're a movie critic you know all about them...but there were a couple surprises for me, and some really good movies.
This is really good "feel good" movie, very inspiring and a tear-jerker.
It's about a girl who runs away from her abusive mother to find safety with her birth father and ends up with more blessings than she thought were possible.
Before you even start watching this, I'm going to tell you it's WEIRD. Like, really weird, but it's good. The reason I'm telling you this is because you'll probably start watching it, and like me, think...why am I watching this? This is stupid, but it's actually pretty interesting and I couldn't turn it off. It had a great ending & I'm glad I'm pretty glad I watched it all the way through.
This is another one where I didn't know what I was watching. The beginning is a twist, but I won't ruin it for you. It's an incredible movie about forgiveness, trust, love & mending old wounds.
This is a Christian drama, and it's really good. A man who thinks he has it all figured out with his career, and where he's going in life gets an unexpected surprise when he visits a small town.
---------------NOT ON NETFLIX------------
Miles Teller is one of my favorite actors, I don't know what it is but he kinda reminds me of Shia LaBeouf. I liked him in Footloose, but I really fell in love with him when I saw The Spectacular Now. He's funny, he's cute & he's a great actor. Anyway, we watched this on Valentines Day and it's a pretty cute romantic comedy.
I can't believe I'm actually reviewing this..this movie gave me anxiety, and it was followed by a very sleepless night. It's a great mystery, but it really screws with your head. My Mom had read the book and had kinda told me about the movie because I told her I wasn't planning on watching it. Anyway, even though I knew what was happening, I was still freaked out and it definitely takes your mind on a wild ride. Rumor has it, they're making a second one? Who knows, but if you want a good mystery and a movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat- rent it.

WOW. If you add all of that up you can pretty much pin point the amount of hours I have spent watching television...haha.
Have you seen any of these, what are your reviews? Any movies/tv shows I should check out? Comment below!

So I feel exactly the same as you do about Hart of Dixie UGH lol. And now that she is pregnant in real life it forced the show in the opposite direction of what I wanted so I can't even get in to it anymore. I loved Parenthood also. And Miles Teller is in my top 5 favorite actors I absolutely adore him. I will have to watch the movie you mention ASAP! I watch almost every show on the CW I love them all, even Jane the Virgin which is super corny but somehow I'm hooked. If you haven't seen it I suggest Friday Night Lights, One Tree Hill, and Gossip Girl.
